Determine the appropriate Optec USA Size

1. Using the measurement chart, determine which orthosis size comes closest to your hip measurement.
2. To determin proper fit, place orthosis around the waist and pull right soft panel snug across the anterior midline by at least 1" to 2" and onto the left soft panel.

Assembling and Modifying the Optec USA for all Phases of Rehabilition

1. Phase 1:
      Post operative and injury immobilization treatment:
      Insert Front Plastic Panel in the Front Pocket
      Insert Full Profile Back Panel into Back Elastic Suspender
   
   
2. Phase 2:
      Progressive Rehabilitation Period:
      Insert Front Plastic Panel in the Front Pocket
      Insert Rehab Back Penal into Back Elastic Suspender
   
   
3. Phase 3:
      Post Rehabilition and Daily support
      Remove the Rehab Back Panel from Back Elastic Suspender

Fitting the Optec USA

1. Place the Optec USA around the waist.
2. Align the plastic panel on the small of the back.
3. Place the left front panel on abdomen and press firmly.
4. Pull right side of soft panel snug over the left soft panel and attach velcro.
5. Pull the bottom compression straps out and away from the body and onto center of the orthosis.
6. Repeat step five for top straps.

Final Check

1. Check for comfort sitting and standing
2. Patient Instructions are included with every Optec USA.
3. Six month warranty is offerend on all Optec USA products.
